Want to learn how to use one of the design & technology lab's Canon EOS 90D DSLR cameras? This workshop will cover some of the essential basics of manual photography, giving you the knowledge and confidence to start using a DSLR without relying on "auto everything", like you probably do with your smartphone camera (note: some smartphone cameras do allow manual shooting, so concepts learned in this workshop can potentially be applied to smartphone photography).
Topics covered:
General use/care of a DSLR
Shutter speeds
ISO and how it relates to sensors, light, and time
Aperture and how aperture size, f-stop, and lighting conditions alters depth of field
Exposure, and how aperture, shutter speed, and ISO work together
Open to grades 7 - 12. Space is limited to 4 participants, working in groups of two.
Deadline to register: January 13th
Workshop Day: Tuesday, WIN, January 17th
