JABSOM Medical Diagnosis and Treatment Summer Program

July 8-12, 8 am - 3:30 pm

Considering a career in health care? During this week-long summer program at the UH John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM), take part in gross anatomy laboratory demonstrations, clinical skills laboratories, computerized manikin simulations, and standardized patient interactions. You’ll learn how to:

  • describe the epidemiology, signs and symptoms, pathophysiology, diagnosis, and treatment of illnesses common in Hawaii

  • perform basic clinical skills such as measuring vital signs and listening to the heart and lungs with stethoscopes

  • interview and counsel patients
