Ash Concerns

Due to visible ash, students have been issued N95 Particulate Filtering masks to help reduce breathing it in. These were provided by Ka'u Rural Health, via donations from 3M and the American Red Cross. As quantities are limited, we ask you re-use these masks for the short term and have your child bring them to school on a daily basis.

Additionally, due to this poor air quality, a Safety room has been set up on campus for students who may need it.

If you decide to keep your child at home due to the recent volcanic activity, please call us, as these absences will be excused. Students are still responsible for all work missed. Arrangements for missed work can be made with teachers directly or by calling us.
